Growers First
Agronomist-Grower Partnership
We believe that our integrity begins in the field: our grower partners share our commitment to responsible agricultural practices. Golden Piedmont’s team of agronomists works hand-in-hand with our grower partners throughout the growing process by testing soil and water supplies, monitoring THC compliance, and tracking all aspects of the growing cycle from the time our cultivars are planted in the greenhouse, through transplantation, fertilizing, pest control, harvest, drying, and bucking. Golden Piedmont requires that our growers use methodologies that comply with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) requirements. We not only meet Virginia standards regarding pesticides and heavy metals, but we exceed them by adhering to stringent California standards.
Technology
Golden Piedmont invests in technologies, like our app that enables us to view crop status using aerial drones. This allows us to monitor and track growing conditions, review weekly reports from each farm, and predict macro trends across our grower portfolio leading to better data and, ultimately, better biomass.
Cold Ethanol Extraction
Golden Piedmont utilizes cold ethanol extraction to achieve high throughput efficiencies, maximum potency yields, and optimum quality control of our products. Sonication is the ideal technique for gently extracting high-quality cannabinoid ingredients, and is respected within the industry for its precision, efficiency, temperature ranges and amplitude controls.
The cryogenic ethanol method achieves winterization during the extraction process and generates high-yield full-spectrum extracts that retain high therapeutic value. Our closed loop system reduces opportunities for contamination while improving the purity and efficiency of our output.
THC Remediated Crude Oil
Golden Piedmont Labs has developed a proprietary THC remediation process that enables us to produce crude oil that contains non-detectable (NDT) levels of THC. Typically this is only available in distillate and isolate product formats.
Facility
Golden Piedmont constructed a state-of-the-art 33,000 SF extraction facility in South Boston, Virginia, in the heart of the Virginia - North Carolina piedmont region. Designed to prioritize safety and maximize efficiency, our facility can accommodate up to three shifts, allowing us to scale the operation to match your needs.
Anticipating increasingly strict regulatory requirements, our facility meets or exceeds current requirements in place at the state and federal levels. It was constructed to meet the ISO 9001 quality standards, and the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Dietary Supplement production requirements. The Golden Piedmont facility also includes a clean room and an in-house testing laboratory.

Testing
Golden Piedmont’s bulk ingredients products pass a series of internal and third-party tests throughout the growing and extraction processes. Testing is foundational to our commitment to traceability and we are committed to full transparency with our customers.
Testing begins when we make cultivar selections. Next, soil and water samples are tested before planting and throughout the growing season. Testing for THC compliance also takes place throughout the flowering cycle of the growing season, and third-party labs are utilized to run full-panel COAs on the biomass as a final validation of biomass purity upon receipt at our crop receiving station.
Each test result for every batch of crop material is saved within our inventory management platform and is available to our customers. This means that Golden Piedmont customers can trace their bulk ingredients all the way back to the farm on which it was grown and can study the lineage of each plant. This delivers unparalleled transparency into our process and ingredients.
Fulfillment
Golden Piedmont’s fulfillment team is committed to efficiency and customer service to ensure our ingredients reach you quickly and safely. Our ingredients are packaged in tamper-proof, sterile containers selected for their ability to protect ingredients from degradation and to provide easy ingredient removal.
Your order will arrive with a printed COA and will meet all regulatory requirements for interstate transport. Each Golden Piedmont order also receives a tracking number and our packaging includes indicators to detect tampering and more.
